Diary Marker – Lighting up Wales’ Historic Sites

Goleuo Safleoedd hanesyddol Cymru

8pm Thursday 7 May

More historic sites under Cadw’s care will be lit up in support of the amazing work done by the NHS and Social Care workers in Wales this week.

For the first time, Castell Coch and Caernarfon Castle will be lit up in rainbow colours from 8pm.

The following sites are also  lit up in blue every evening, Chepstow; Tintern; Kidwelly; Harlech; Cricceth; Caernarfon; Beaumaris; Rhuddlan and Conwy, with the word ‘diolch’ also on Caerphilly Castle.

Members of the public are reminded to stay home, however, anyone who can see the sites from their homes are asked to tag @cadwwales in any social media posts.

All Cadw sites, both staffed and unstaffed, remain closed to visitors at this time.
